Edward M Zimm PC is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Erie, PA

Description

Zimm Cataract & Laser Center has an opening for an energetic individual to join our team as a Patient Services Representative / Medical Receptionist. Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Fielding incoming calls; scheduling and rescheduling patient(s)
  • Obtaining, validating, and updating demographic data as needed
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and coverage
  • Checking patients in and out for their visit
  • Collecting payment(s) at time of service
  • Reviewing and maintaining medical records for accuracy/completeness.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality of patient, client, company, and personnel information by conforming to all HIPAA regulations and following confidentiality policies and procedures.

This is a full-time position with many great benefits, including generous PTO and several paid holidays. Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Subject to change). No evening or weekend hours.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented, able to multi-task effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License
